ETHOS OF A FOREST ROAMER

Every time we are out and are roaming about, we practice Leave No Trace and stick to this code of ethics:

• We prepare our hiking adventures and make ourself more knowledgeable about the place we want to visit. We pack everything we personally will need. When it comes to comfort, clime and conditions we make smart decisions.

• We stay away from sensitive areas, use established trails and leave everything on either side of the path unscathed. We set our foot lightly and don't trample on vegetation.

• If we find a great spot, we stay for a while and enjoy what nature has to offer. But before we set off, we always take some time to naturalize the area. We leave the place as undisturbed and intact as we have found it or how it should be.

• We choose your tent site well, minimize our impact and keep it small. A good campsite is found and not made. When we leave an established campsite, we make sure that it is clean and appealing for the other campers who follow.

• We control our fire .

• We keep all waters clean and don't pollute rivers, streams, lakes, the ocean or someones drinking water.

• We use the forest squat toilet the proper way.

• We respect all human and nonhuman earth-dwellers.

• We value the silence and keep the noise down. We don't disturb anyone or anything with our music or a flying drone.

• We pack out all our trash and try to pick up as much litter as possible .

• We don't remove, displace, disfigure or destroy what we find. We don't pick wild flowers, don't break off live branches, peel the bark off or carve our initals into trees. We don't stack rocks or spray paint cliffs.

• We don't collect any natural souvenirs.
